and all this science...
i don't understand...

I ran around like a crazy maniac today.

I had to return some stuff to Express. My favorite Express is the one at Fairlane. And you know, I'm always up for a trip to Fairlane...Diesel, Forever 21...mmm, mmm. Anyway, the Express at Fairlane has gotten a lot of their fall stuff in. I almost peed my pants when I saw the Editor pant in like, a grass-vintagy-green. Green=my favorite color. I can not get enough green. And not only can I not get enough green---I can't get enough green in my wardrobe. It's such a fun color in so many different shades. Though the pants were not on sale, I knew I had to pay full price for them because they are drop dead gorgeous. They had some other cool colors---but those will have to wait until they go on sale later on.

I got a bag for work at the Diesel store for, like, 22 bucks. It's a basic black tote bag. But I think it's cool. And it was cheap.

Forever 21 didn't have crap, though I did buy a red version of a shirt I have in cream.

Then I went home and did my "work" laundry. Which is kind of pain in the ass because everything needs to be washed on delicate and then I toss it on air dry for a few minutes to get out wrinkles and then everything has to hang dry.

Oh wait. Before I went home, I stopped off at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Big mistakes. I bought so much crap, it's not funny. I picked up another pair of Express Editor Pants in black at Marshall's...because you can not beat them for $14.99. And I love black. I got a cool green skirt. Some other stuff, but it's going back. I ran into Burlington Coat Factory because Chris (a guy I worked with at Incognito) told me that he finds some good stuff there. A couple of weeks ago I went...and while I didn't buy anything, I was amazed by the cool cheap shoes they had. I was sort of kicking myself for not buying any...so I went to this one I had never been in before. What a disaster zone. And my feet hurt from my stupid shoes (some Nine West sandal things that I hardly ever wear, they always rub my feet the wrong way, but they're too cute to get rid of). Trying on shoes when your feet hurt...not good for business. Then I went to TJ's and found a really nice Max Studio pant suit set. The jacket was cute, but still $60 and I have two suit sets, so I didn't need the jacket. So I bought the pants. When I tried them on at home, I just about fell over: the rise is so high...like right at my belly button. And it just does not look good. At all. So those are going back.

I called Rich and asked if he and Duane wanted to go to Pizza Papalis in Greektown. It's Chicago style pizza. And while it's good...I like, well, I guess, my "Detroit style" pizza much better. But it's a nice change to have every once in a blue moon (LOL I think it was my whole like, fourth time eating there). When we were walking out of the casino, some "homeless" (you never know if they really are, you know?) asked us for change. I'm so used to it, especially having to deal with "bums" around Wayne for two years...so I just ignore and walk on by. I don't even say "sorry" anymore. Anyway, this guy ended up starting to follow us...and started shouting things at us...about how he "just" got out of jail...and he was going to stick us with a knife and we were gonna be sorry and all this crazy stuff. I've met some crazy bums in my day (especially after the Brad 1997 show at St. Andy's---the anniversary is in two days, by the way)...but this guy was way out of line. Insane or not insane...out of line.

I came home and like, almost immediately left to go do some returns at Kohl's and go to another Marshall's (to return and shop). I almost ran into trouble AGAIN at Marshall's: they had another View suit set I liked. But when I tried it on, I looked way too frumpy for words. Saved me $59.99, so I can't bitch. Then I went to Target because it was right there...to get milk because we're out. Ok, Target=great and everything and I heart Target to pieces...but milk is $3.19 a gallon there. That is just ridiculously stupid. But I wasn't about to not buy it and stop elsewhere because I purposely went INTO Target to get milk.

So that was the extent of my day. Fun. Tomorrow morning: more TJ Maxx and Marshalling. I'm bad.
