[Entry 53]
<<||>>

a decade ago...
i never thought i would be...
at 23 on the verge of spontaneous combustion, woe-is-me...

New retainer for four hours. Finally kicking in...my teeth are feeling the pressure. This bottom retainer doesn't appear like it will be a barrel full of fun like my nifty top retainer. See, we're straightening out the slight crowding I have with my bottom front teeth. This retainer is going to fix that problem. I also got in-between my teeth filed today. Just the six front bottom teeth...to make room for them (cure the crowding). It didn't hurt, but it was like having a nail file in-between your teeth...so it wasn't totally fun. It's not good, either, to have that pressure problem because if my retainers bother me as I sleep, I will wake up in the middle of the night, take them out of my mouth and put them in my pillowcase. There have been times when I have woken in the morning and not even remember taking them out. My top retainers are top notch right now, though. This bottom one is a bitch.

And it makes me talk stupid.

Another week comes to an end. Amen(t). Though not to be morbid, this is my Grandpa's death date. He died on Feb 27th back in 1992. Anyway, this week, just as last, had it's fill of stresses. I thought I was in fact going to pull my hair out today. I may still do it...who knows.

Elliott is so funny. He used to run from me all the time as a kitten. Or if I tried to pet him, he'd attack me. He was only nice to my brother and mom. He used to run from people when they came over. Strangely enough, he's become the one cat to be the most dependant on humans. If only one person is home and they're not in the living room (where the cats usually hang out), Elliott will come up in my room and just start meowing and rolling all over the floor. He gets lonely. So now he's sleeping on my bed.

So yesterday, I skipped my way to Nordstrom to get a pair of jeans...only to find those bastards have no non-clearance Miss Sixty stuff in (I assumed they would since the Nordstrom website has plenty). I have no problem with clearance (hello...this is ME we're talking about)...but I had already scoped that shit out and there wasn't jack in my size. My mom had mentioned on our way to Nordstrom that Incognito had put up their 50-70% off signs up in the windows. I knew I wouldn't find a pair of jeans at 70% off...but I decided I must go there to scope it out.

I did find a pair of Extra Low Tommys at 70% off...but since they were pants, not jeans, I decided I needed to set my priorities straight. I tried on New Tommys in a light wash and the Extra Low Ty in a light wash. While I love the idea of the New Tommys...I decided they were not in my best interest. They are wide leg pants...and though they are low rise and fitted at the top, I felt like I was back in 1998 wearing my KikWear. So I got the Ty's...and I am happy with them.

Tonight I gotta try to convince my mom to dye my hair. My roots are quite icky right now. Only three more boxes of blonde hair dye...then bye bye to this roots bullshit. Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut. It needs a trim...furthermore, it needs some OOOMPH! As much as I would like to get bangs right now...the idea of having to grow them out again is not cool. Plus I have a cowlick in my bangs...so that's not really cool. Anyway, I think I'm going to get LONG bangs cut...so I can have some side-swept action going on... and then I want layers. Lots of layers. My hair is just dragging. Whatever I get...I just gotta make sure it will look alright styled straight or curly.

Tomorrow I am also seeing my two cousins I haven't seen in years. We're going to eat with Aunt Judy and her two daughters. Later in the evening, I'm supposed to go to eat with my sister, Aaron, and a friend.

Oh, and I think I decided that Move Bitch by Ludacris IS indeed the best song ever written. Oh, and the best single on the radio right now is Yeah by Usher featuring Lil' John and Ludacris. Or should I say "Ursher" like Ludacris says...?

Time to go hang up the new Miss Sixty and Diesel ads I have collected. My wall is gonna look even phatter. I want to start another wall in my room...so hopefully those two companies keep pumping ads in magazines I read...
