Deer Creek holds a special place in my heart. It was the first show Bowman and I saw together on the 2000 tour. Furthermore, it was my first 2000 show and remains one of my favorite Pearl Jam shows that I have witnessed.

The day was hot and seemed much longer than most. Bowman saved my day by doing the entire drive from Wisconsin to Noblesville while I sat in the passenger seat and did homework. The box office day dragged, as usual. Lunch at Ruby Tuesday's was a winner. Especially the chocolate tallcake.

The set, surprisingly, opened with Long Road. I wasn't completely disappointed...but I still felt slight: this was Indi-fucking-ana!

Long Road ends and Interstellar Overdrive began. Yes! THIS was how Indy was supposed to kick off! Plus, what a great "tribute" to the 2000 performance.

I freaked out a few songs later: Thin Air (that's my boy!)...now, I am not the biggest Thin Air fan. I think the song is way hokey: but Stone wrote it! Teehee! I was psyched to hear the song I lovingly dub, "The Gay Anthem."

Show followed with Gimmie Some Truth, Present Tense (!!!), MFC, and Habit: talk about woo hoo!

Smile was performed during the encore: it felt like it came a show too late!

At the end of this show, I was exhausted. I decided to drive back to Detroit after the show for some...metal health regrouping. Drama on the road and and at home required this break...
