I watched this year's HGTV special on holiday display windows. I didn't really know they did it every year. We watched it once when I was in college...since it's all about visual merchandising and stuff. I felt the same after I watched it for a second time...it's so inspiring. It's just amazing how much time and effort is put into Christmas displays. It's tempting to hop in the car and drive to Chicago just to see Marshall Field's windows. Even though I think Macy's window is the most spectacularly amazing window display I've ever seen. It's a pop-up book theme...but of famous New York City scenes. Incredible. I also like to see what kind of crazy tree the Nieman Marcus guy does. The first time I saw the special, he made a tree out of pieces of classic cars. It was incredible. It makes me get all excited about all the cool things merchandising can pull you into...and then I'm like...ugh. Department stores. Department stores are dying. I don't think I have the vision for visual merchandising anyway...which I guess is good because visual merchandising is always the first thing to be cut when tightening up ship.

So the party last night was nice. Many more people showed up than I expected. There were frozen cosmos and tons of food. The one instructer is obsessed with Jello shots. While I love Jello, I am not all about Jello shots. Too much work for a Jello shot. She did make pudding shots, though. And I had to have one. It was spectacular. She made two different varities but the one I had was chocolate pudding with peppermint schnapps. Oh my gosh, yummy! I only got one, though, because once the buzz got around about the pudding shots...they were gone in a heartbeat. Way better than Jello shots in my opinion. When we left the party, it was lightly snowing. Grrr. At least it was weak snow. I like weak snow.

Don't get me wrong. I hate the cold. I hate dealing with snow. But snow is awesome when you can stay inside all day and not have to go anywhere. That is when I love snow. And that's the only time.

I tried clementine Izze today. It was alright. I never had clementine "juice" before...so I didn't really know what to expect. Still a big fan of the grapefruit. I think I would like to try blueberry and lemon next. I think there was blackberry, too. Hmmm. If there's blackberry that's probably really good. I don't think I've ever eaten a blackberry before...but blackberry yogurt is awesome. I'd eat blackberry yogurt all the time but I hate the "seediness" of it...like raspberries. I don't mind eating raspberries...but raspberry yogurt drives me up the wall: I love the taste, hate the seeds. I'm not a big fan of fruit in yogurt, but Yoplait has the best flavored yogurt (at least I think so) and it all has fruit in it. Sometimes I get so frustrated with the fruit, I temporary retire from yogurt. Like now, I'm into Jello. Not yogurt. Not that they are comparable except they're fruity...

You know what song I loathe? I think it's called This Christmas. What an awful song and it's so bad and TJ Maxx and Marshall's have it on their holiday mix...and it seems like I've heard it 800 times over the course of this weekend. Barf all over myself.
