I'm exhausted...but at least today wasn't a total bust...
I woke up this morning with the intention of going to the 9:30 Jazzercise class. It's so hard to get motivated to go on a day off!!! But I did it---just barely. I walked in the door just as class was starting. I only had enough time to sign in and throw my shit on the ground. Good thing Laura was there because I was able to sqeeze a spot next to her. It was JAM PACKED! It was a special 75 minute class...you know, to work off the Thanksgiving feasts. I so didn't want to go this morning...but I knew if I went I would feel really glad I went and I am. I am glad I went. I did 3 classes last week and 3 more this week. I love working out...but it is time consuming. You only have so much "free" time in a given week...and though I make sure I work out twice a week for an hour...it's not really an hour. It's the getting there and getting back...it really consumes about 4 hours of my time to go to 2-1 hour classes. ANYWAY. I'm not complaining, really; I feel better, I feel stronger and my clothes fit better.
I went home and showered and then my mom and Gen came and picked me up and we went shopping for bridal dresses. We went to this one place that one of my friends got her dress from. From the outside it looks all nice and stuff. Way less than impressed with the interior. Way not impressed by the prices (couldn't touch anything for under $1200). Way less impressed with the service. We didn't have an appointment or anything...so we just left after waiting way too long for some help. We ended up going to David's Bridal...which a lot of people snub, but I tell ya...the service there was way better than the stupid first place we went to. She found a couple dresses there...but no one was available to have her try them on. So Gen made an appointment to go back later...
Came home, started watching an episode of The American Experience about the Influenza of 1918. While it was interesting, my eyes couldn't stay open...so I stopped it and napped for about an hour. Had to get off the couch because it was time to take Phantom, Isaac, and Coco to the vet. What an interesting visit that was. I thought Coco was getting hugely fat. She weighs 8.6 pounds...which is either less or equal to what she weighed the last time I took her to the vet. Mr. Isaac? I have been feeling bad for him...I thought Coco was eating all the food. He always wants more food. Turns out he's simply a chow-hound. When I got him, he weighed 8.4 pounds. Now? A solid 10. He's still skinny, though. He's deceiving. And poor Phantom. He hates leaving the house. Loathes it. He didn't meow as badly as the last time we took him. He did, however, drool. Like drooled like Rascal drooled. It was DISGUSTING! On the way home, I went to look through his papers...which were behind his carrier...and they were wet. At first I thought he peed...but no, it was drool. Turns out Phantom has a heart murmur, though. Which complicates the fact that he needs to get his teeth cleaned (and they knock cats out when they do that). I'm sort of peeved that there's a chance Phantom always had it...but the vet we used to take him to didn't catch it. Though the vet today said that cats can develop a heart murmur with age. That was the last thing we expected to hear today, though.
So we pile all the cats into the car...I think we entertained everyone with the thought of having three cats. Didn't want to exclaim that between my mom, sis, and I...we have 8 cats. But whatever. Thought it would be funny to bring all 8 into the vet next time. That would require a bus, I think.
I had a huge headache, but decided to go back to David's with my mom and sister. She's narrowed it down and she's gonna go back tomorrow. My headache only intensified when I was there. YUCK. Instead of going straight to bed, though, I caught up on some Househunters episodes. I am way into that show...so much so that I have to restrain myself from yelling at my tv when I watch it: "Pick that house!" or "You're not good enough for that house!" or "You moron! Why'd you pick that one?" Seriously. I need help.
