[Entry 421]
<<||>>

i may run and hide when you're screamin' my name...alright...

Watch out...long entry ahead...

Keep forgetting to talk about Jiri Fischer's scare on the ice from two days ago. My mom called me cause she was watching the game to tell me about him having a seizure. I was like, "But he's so cute! And he's so young!" (25). His heart stopped and everything. Very scary stuff.

So the day before Thanksgiving. And we get stupid, stupid, STUPID snow! I really wanted to go to Great Lakes Crossing today. Since we were closing the office two hours early today...I was determined to spend my evening shopping. Only I had a crazyass work day...so crazy I didn't even take a lunch and barely took a break to down some Jello and BBQ Lays Stackers. I "only" got to leave work an hour early. That last extra hour was torturous! Other people were still there...but I didn't want to be! I was the only person in the back corner! Anyway...I finally left to be a bit surprised by how cold and snowy it was outside. Icky poo poo!!!!!!

I was still determined to go to Great Lakes Crossing...but man I was starving! I stopped off to pick up my mom...and also to drop off a fucking great article that is in the latest issue of Rolling Stone (yeah, with stupid Madonna on the cover)...

Time to discuss the article. I don't have it at the moment...and I can't find a link to it on the stupid RS website. Anyway...it's on hearing loss and music. And discussing the potential problems iPods/mp3 players add to the issue of hearing loss. It was such a good read...highly recommend it to everyone. It also has me VERY scared for my hearing. How many stupid concerts have I been to? How many stupid concerts have I worn earplugs at? 0. Zero. Null. NONE. I am retarded and will be deaf soon. I swear. I already feel like my left ear isn't up to par. Seriously. Also...the article quote Stone THE Gossard...apparently he has no hearing problems but Jeff, Mike, and Matt all do. Poor Jeffy Poo :-( Discusses Phil Collin's hearing loss...and how he can't even produce anymore because of it. It's no joke. And then I think they ask some moron from some newer "rock" band...might have been My Chemical Romance...and he pretty much was like FUCK EARPLUGS! Rock and ROLL!!!!!!! I was like...yeah...smart duder. Encourage the tasteless youth to be deaf. Rad!

So anyway, I was starving. I really wanted pizza...but figured McDonald's would do (once in awhile I'll get some McDonald's french fries with no salt...that's the only time they're good). On the way to the expressway, I stopped. Meanwhile, my mom was panicking because my Grandma's phone had been busy since 2:00 (it was like 4:30). It's happened before. She doesn't realize a phone is off the hook. Just as I was about to start the car up and head to the mall...traffic report said there was an accident backing up 75 to way before Great Lakes Crossing and that put a damper on things...so we went to Grandma's instead to put her phone back on the hook.

We usually call my Grandma to let her know we're coming...but obviously couldn't do that. By the time we got there it was dark...and my mom decides to go to the back door and open it with her key instead of knocking on the front door. Anyway, we damn near give my Grandma a heartattack. And I shouldn't have laughed but her hair was so funny...she had total Frankenstein hair! She looked like a deer in headlights. She's too funny. Anyway we find the phone that's off the hook. Then she tells us some family drama...she was so angry. I felt bad. Then we left...and I totally was thinking of going to Dearborn (Off 5th, Forever 21, Diesel at Fairlane) but it was snowing pretty heavily...so my mom and I...

LOL...

...we went to the dollar store instead! RAD!!! No, but seriously I needed a short string of lights for my tiny Christmas tree and I knew they had them there. Cause see...I bought the cutesy little $1 Christmas tree from Target along with the battery operated lights and tree skirt for it...only to find out after I opened the stupid light that they contained LEAD! HOW CAN YOU SELL SOMETHING THAT WARNS YOU IT CONTAINS LEAD AND YOU MUST WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER TOUCHING IT?!? I immediately threw the fucking things out. I love Target...but that makes me a wee bit angry. A dollar or not...I wish I would've caught the warning before I bought the stupid things...

Anyway. So that was my evening. Fun!

The Office last night...ohmygosh! I think my favorite episode to DATE! The tension between Jim and Pam is insane...those two rock! When they were up in Jim's bedroom...yikes! Jim's (John Krasinski) so cute. Cutie patootie! Haha and Dwight! Making out with Angela?!? Oh gosh! And Jim inviting Dwight to the BBQ because he wants to prove to his roommate that he didn't make Dwight up! I love that show! Haha and Michael/Steve Carrell's improv class?!? Hahah! Ok I'll shut up...

Ah yes...and The Real World: Austin season finale. Yuck. Those guys were bogus. Lame. At least the reunion next week looks like it will contain a bunch of shouting. I think the more and more time goes on...San Diego is becoming my favorite. Yep. Brad. Randy. Jacquese. Haha the thought of them makes me laugh. Season 1 - 3 (NYC, LA, San Fran) aren't my favorites...but they're classics, you know? London blew. Miami had it's moments. Boston was pretty decent. Seattle I liked cause it was Seattle. Hawaii was alright (just alright). New Orleans was good. Back to NYC...hated it when it was on. Chicago...loved the drama...I feel like now, if I watched it again, I'd be annoyed. Las Vegas was filled with horny morons...but that makes good tv, right? Paris was London Part 2. San Diego whooped a donkey's ass. Philly sucked. Austin...was like trying to re-create San Diego. I swear. I hope Real World Royal Oak is filled with complete morons.

Enough TV talk...

I sang along to the Backstreet Boys in the car yesterday. Larger Than Life. Surprised I could remember the words. Surprised it's even on my iPod. I usually skip over the BSB songs on my iPod...but last night...I listened.

Woo hoo! VACATION!!!!!!!!
