say something new...

Today marks the first day since I returned from the Canadian PJ shows that I have listened to anything but Pearl Jam in my car. I've been slowly listening to all the shows in chronological order (I'm at London)...but it was so dreary today...I had to listen to fall/wintery songs. I always get that way when the seasons change. When it starts getting warm, I have to listen to spring/summer songs. The only downfall is that the songs I feel are fall/winter songs are kinda depressing. Beautiful, but depressing.

My neighbor told me about this blog called Slave to Target. How cool! I don't really need to visit a blog that updates on all the new shit at Target because I literally go there anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week (I only wish I was kidding)...so I'm definitely on the up-and-up. But I'll still scope it out, heck yeah! I love Target! The women of the blog mention they have to hide their Target bags from their husbands. Me? I just have the most insane empty Target bag collection on earth. It's laughable. Really. What doesn't help is that I do all my grocery shopping there. Ok. Not all. About 98% of my grocery shopping is done at Target.

Now if I could only find someone else out there that gets goosebumps when they see the Target commercial with Say Something New in the background. Oh my gosh. I don't know why I do... but it's so visually stimulating. If I didn't love Target already, that commercial would make me love them.

Was an unremarkable day. Oh! But! Gregg from Motor City Mid-days (a radio show on the FM talk radio station here) no longer works for the station. Sucks because he has two young babies... but it was pretty damn good news for me. Apparently he said something about another DJ (from another station) that he shouldn't have said. They have been played "best ofs" for the past 9 days. Today they finally fired him. Me and the girls at work are constantly in awe of how ignorant he is. His co-host, Michelle, will still be around. Guess they'll get someone else to work with her... who knows what will happen. Kind of a big deal...made the front page of Freep.com.

I definitely am a dork for listening to talk radio...but I definitely prefer it over a radio station that plays music. When you're at work and have to listen to the same shit all day...over and over...it reaaaaally gets to you. We hardly listen to cds, either. For me...it's too much work to keep changing cds throughout the day.

Alrighty, I'm going to go read the latest issue of Glamour...
