Saturday, August 20th, 2005[Entry 375]can you not see?
Today was a rad day!
Morning was spent downtown at the FOBC meeting. On the way there, my mom informed me that the House of Denmark was having a "Clearance Rack Sale" at its warehouse. My gut told me I would find a chair (for my living room) there. Right before we were about to leave, my store credit for my iPod arrived. HELLZ YEAH! An iPod was coming back into my life!!!
We go to the warehouse sale: it was not crazy busy at all (unlike the Marshall Field's Warehouse Sale I went to). And they had TONS of cheap COOL furniture. The first thing my mom and I spot is a bent plywood chair (a cool one at that) for $79. I noted it in my head if I didn't find anything else. Almost insane to think that had some other bent plywood chairs for as little as $39! Anyway, I ended up with a suede chair...it's actually intended as a dining chair. The thing is, I needed a teeny, not deep chair. I think this chair will be perfect. Yeah, that's right: even though it was a warehouse sale, I couldn't take it with me today. So I have to go pick it up next weekend.
After the fun time at the warehouse sale, we went to Great Lakes Crossing. I had some returns; I wanted to shop...but um, that did not happen. That place was CRAZY. It was like Christmas! I think it was a combo of Saturday mall busy-ness, a rainy day, and back to school. The line at TJ Maxx was insane. Even if I found anything I liked, there was no way I was going to wait in a line like that. I didn't even try going into Marshall's or Forever 21. When I was in Bed Bath & Beyond, the aisles were so crowded at one certain point...so crowded that I thought there was some demonstration or free promo going on---this turned out to be false. I can't stand shopping in crowds. That's one of the reasons why I hate malls so much.
Finally made it to Best Buy. Three second purchase, "Yeah, I need the 20 gig color iPod and replacement plan." The guy was slick...he rang me up for the 3 year service plan. I caught him, though...and that's when he informed me Best Buy no longer offers replacement plans on iPods. I told him immediately I did not want their service plan. Yeah, if something ever goes wrong with my iPod, I surely want the numbnuts at Best Buy taking my iPod apart to fix it. RIGHT.
So I am very excited to have an iPod again!
Ok I need to go eat something...I'm hungry but have been too worried about uploading all my shit to my iPod. Priorities!!!
