Freaked out today when I passed one of the gas stations near my work and saw that gas was $2.79 a gallon. The most shocking thing about it is
that gas is cheaper near where I work than where I live. I ended up lucking out and finding a gas station that was "only" charging $2.53 a gallon.
This is way out of hand...way out of control. I almost passed out last time I filled up because I hit the $30 mark. Now I'm just scared I'm going to hit
the $40 mark. I understand price increases...and yeah, I know oil prices are high...but this is just bullshit. It shouldn't cost you $25 to fill up your
car one week, $30 the next, and $40 the next. That's not the way it works. But apparently it's the "new" way it works.
My day at work wasn't TOO bad. A lot of interruptions, though. The main thing I wanted to work on...didn't even touch until 5:00; I ended up saying it was
time to quit at 5:30. I had a conversation today about how secretarial positions are among one of the most stressful occupations---based on interruptions
alone. I can see this, totally. It's really frustrating when you're in the middle of trying to get something done and someone calls, e-mails, or walks into
your office with more requests. 9 more days...just 9 more! LOL. No, it's not that bad. Yet. ;-)
I got a tiny little blister on one of my toes from my stupid shoes from the wedding. I wore pumps today...talk about ouch. The first thing I did when I got
to work was take off my shoe and put a band-aid on my toe.
Ok I need to get to bed...not much else happening...
