well you try but you can’t let go...

I have solidified my allegiance to an office supply store. I was sort of leaning anyway, but today put a stamp on it.

I was amazed when I found my rolling computer desk, rolling bookshelf, and rolling filing cabinet at Office Depot. What is even more amazing is the fact that Office Depot carries GOOD poster tubes. I have been on a half-ass search for poster tubes. I went to Staples; you could literally squeeze their poster tubes. You think I'm going to use that? Heck no. Friday I was by an Office Max, so I went in...and it boggled my mind: they didn't even HAVE poster tubes. Obviously my search ended at Office Depot. I also got an awesome faux leather and suede letter sorter by everyone's favorite "decorater", Christopher Lowell. It was on clearance and it was cheaper than the stupid acryllic shit. Five stars to Office Depot. Five stars!

Yesterday I went to Target with my ma. Then we ran to a furniture store. And then we went to Gen and Aaron's. I helped Gen put together their new hamper and Isaac Mizrahi bathroom furniture. Their new hamper happens to be my new hamper, too. Though they didn't know this when they bought it. I can NOT stress enough about how EVERYONE NEEDS to get to K-Mart! Their home stuff is BEYOND amazing! Our hampers are Martha Stewart Double Folding Wooden Hamper---the BEST deal in the world on this kind of hamper. You can not TOUCH a decent looking double hamper for $14.99. You can't! I promise you! I know these things!

Anyway, then I went back to my parents house and disassembled my Diesel ad walls. But there should be no sadness about that; I am "re-doing" my white wooden cabinets from college. These stupid white cabinets from my dorm room---they've only survived because they hide crap like computer paper. One, for some reason, is discolored; it has yellowed. I do not know why one yellowed and the other did not. I was originally going to re-hang all the ads in my basement...but the white cabinets are ugly and I thought, "They need some sprucing up." As I went to go cover the doors, I thought, "Do I really want to do this?" And they're like the cheapest pieces of crap ever and I've had then since 1999---I think it's ok if I one day decide to throw them out because I no longer need them.

It took me an HOUR to cover just the doors. There were some ads I liked better than others and I thought they should be prominent. Pain in the total ass. I need to cover the rest of both of them...and then either decoupage or lacquer them. We lacquered that old wooden PJ purse of mine...to keep the pictures to it. It worked relatively well. I've never decoupage...so who knows. I probably should decoupage them, though.

Wow. Isn't this exciting stuff?!?

So after I did that to the cabinets, my mom and I ran to TJ Maxx and Marshalls---duhn,duhn,duhn---to return EVERYTHING I BOUGHT ON FRIDAY! Haha! I suck! Then we ran into KMart because I needed burner covers...and they were $14 at Target, a whopping $7 at KMart. Then we ate Jet's.

Now I'm going through the tedious task of importing songs into iTunes from my cds-I only imported songs I like. Now I just want to put entire albums on and do the playlist thing. See, I just use the library on a daily basis...not playlists. So it would be annoying to skip through songs I didn't want to listen to. Kind of retarded: 'bout time I utilized the playlists on a daily basis.
