sometimes you sulk...
My eyes are closing...not cooperating with my body. I didn't even do that much labor-intensive work today.
I tell you, my condo has been full of surprises...from the second "surprise" layer of wallpaper...to the "surprise" discovery
that the tile in the bathroom was installed around the vanity...to the second "surprise" layer of flooring in the kitchen. The surprise
second layer of flooring has been my favorite; for it had hundreds of industrial staples in it. My mom and I spent all evening taking out staples.
My hands are raw from this ordeal. My two middle fingers are beat red. Ridiculous! Someone totally went overboard with the staples. Insanely overboard.
So yeah, that was my evening. Tomorrow I plan on ripping down that second layer of wallpaper. That should be a F-U-N job.
I failed to mention in my hasty entry last night that there is some sad news: I found out Goombah's closed :-(
Shows you how often I'm in that area...which is ridiculous in itself...anyway...
Yesterday, before the show, Bowman and I walked into what was formerly Goombah's...and I didn't even notice it wasn't Goombah's anymore until we got up to the counter
to order. I noticed things seemed a little weird (like the articles and fun pictures that used to hang on the wall were gone). Kinda bummy news...I have good memories
of evenings spent eating pizza with different pals. Plus the people that worked there were always so great.
And not to be a dick about it...but...the new place has good pizza, too. Not square...but very good round. I was impressed.
Oh well. The Madison-Lenox comes down and Goombah's Pizza has closed. All good things unfortunately, it seems, come to an end.
