All in all, it's so nice to have a friend that you can call up, practically at any time, and just chat. And it's so easy to talk and you're always on the same page. Everyone should have a friend like that.
Well, I had a somewhat interesting day...a nice "12 hour" day. I had to stay at work for a video conference with Hong Kong. Fun times, fun times. At least we went to Shield's for dinner. Always pleases the tum!
The depressing thing was leaving work...knowing you had been there for 12 hours and knowing you had to be back there in another 12 hours. Good thing I like my job, huh?
I was thinking last night about how we define ourselves...like I look at my bio on my webpage...but in real life, if I met you for the first time, would I tell you I am a vegetarian? Probably not because I don't feel that defines who I am. You know? Just a thought I had.
I've also decided that I have had two fashion inspirations in my life; one, the obviously talented in multiple areas...Stone Gossard. The other? Sex and the City. Yep. Now I'm not saying I feel it's inspired me to mirror the looks I've seen on that show. What is has inspired me to do is take risks and also embrace color. I own so much black... and while I love it and you so can't go wrong with black, I am now craving color more than ever. Hello...another trip to Forever 21 in the near future. So now I guess I can see why there was such a hype with that show and fashion. Maybe other people saw it for trends (shit some of the stuff that was thrown on Sarah Jessica Parker in the first or second season definitely did not come into play in the common world for another two or three years...which is amazing). I never would've tuned to that show to find out what I should wear... but again, the risks. All about the risks. That's what I get out of it.
I also realized, during dinner tonight, that I have replaced my shopping activities with Jazzercise. That's a healthy switch...wouldn't ya say?
