Saturday, January 22nd, 2004[Entry 267]i will go in this way...
and find my own way out...Yesterday was a pretty busy day. I started doing some really cool research at work. Though that's not really what fits in my "job description"...it's one of those things that I have a chance to do and I get really excited about. I ALMOST can't wait to get back to work on Monday and dive in...
Little Caesar's has introduced a new bag for their Crazy Bread...it's made out of foil. Which is spendid. It keeps the bread warm and almost close to perfect as it sits on the heating rack. I am in love with it; it's like a whole new Crazy Bread. Pretty funny what a little change in packaging can do.
My brother played a show last night at his work. I was really, actually, quite impressed. I didn't know what to expect. Sometimes it's hard to get things out of my brother... especially when creativity is involved...sometimes he gets pissy and bitchy and won't give details (I think this is a play off of insecurity that he, as an artist, feels). They played a cover of #41 by Dave Matthews Band...was pretty good. It was nice, too, to see him play in a relaxed atmosphere (a coffee shop/cafe) AND smoke free at that. In case you didn't know it, my little brother is definitely more kickass than your little brother.
I got home a little before 11 last night...and tried to watch The Untouchables. I could not stay awake. I would've fallen right asleep if it weren't for the fact I had bleach trays in my mouth. I ended up finishing up the movie this morning. I dunno, Kevin Costner is someone I can't take seriously. I could when I was a kid...but I can't help but picture Kevin Costner in the ad for People's In Style Weddings...with his bride that is like 30 years younger than he is. I think she's like my age...and as a 23 year old chick, the thought of marrying Kevin Costner makes me want to puke. The music in the movie was horribly cheesy, too. Anyway, I'm thinking maybe I should've rented the original.
We're in the midst of a snowstorm here. Woke up at 8 (I was supposed to go to the dentist this morning) and we maybe had four inches...but it was coming down really hard. It's now 11:30...it's still coming down and we're at about 10 inches. It's supposed to continue until 6 o'clock tonight. Pretty crazy. I hope it lets up some; the Midtown Winter Blast is taking place downtown this weekend. It's a "test run" for activities to take place during the Super Bowl next year. I would like to check it out and get food from the heated outdoor food tents. Or, shit, eat some Niki's or Buddy's on the way home. Man, I could go for some Shield's right now. Oh my goodness, YES. Give me some DETROIT STYLE PIZZA!
Shit, I'll take ANY pizza right now. Even more Crazy Bread from Little Caesar's will do...
Oh yeah. I think I'm losing my mind; I found out some of the requirements yesterday to get a Masters in Fashion Design & Merchandising...and now I'm seriously considering going back to school. I don't know what is wrong with me...
