Tuesday, December 28th, 2004[Entry 247]i can't see him but he's stalking my thoughts...
I got my planner today...which was pretty awesome because tracking indicated it would arrive here tomorrow. Nice surprise to return from Target and have a box from UPS sitting on the porch. The only downside is that I can't really "use" it until the 1st. Only a couple more days to go;-)
Not too much excitement going on...
Work was very worky today. I thought it would go by fast...and while the day didn't drag, it certainly did not fly by. I have my office to myself, though, so I used my FM transmitter to play my iPod through my boombox at work. It was really nice to do that. A lot of people are taking this week off of work...so the office is very quiet and empty. Bonus: the parking lot is empty as well. Tomorrow I work and then I'm off on Thursday and Friday. Though first thing Thursday morning, I have to go get my crown. That should be "fun." Hopefully it will be a quick appointment.I wish I could save up money faster than I am. There are so many cool things I keep stumbling across that would be great for me to buy...if I had my own place. I could start purchasing this stuff now...but that just seems a bit silly to me. I really don't need that much "stuff." I'll need kitchen stuff and some furniture (a couch and a dining table)...but I'm pretty good on everything else.
Speaking of "saving"...I was bad yesterday. I bought two yummy watches that are dear to my heart and the TJs I went to had a bunch of Express shit...so I got a pair of corduroys (that I happened to purchase a couple of months back at full price and returned because I do not believe in "full price") and a sweater vest. Sweater vest! How totally rad is that?!? It's just solid black...but it's still badass. At least I think it is. I did use Christmas money for that stuff, though...and that's what Christmas money is supposed to be for...right? Tonight, I bought a shrunken sweater/shrug from Target. They had tons of clothes on clearance... but I was good. I grabbed three things and gradually put items down one at a time. Though I kept the green shrug. That's the thing that gets you about Target...you go there to buy necessities (like um, hello, Mott's apple sauce is $1.62 for those six pack small sizes...and that's REGULAR price!) and you can easily get trapped by the wants.
I'm feeling shallow...no deep thoughts...
