i seem to look away...

Wouldn't you know that on the day of the Boston Edison Home Tour...that the temp would be about 4 degrees (without windchill). It was ridiculously cold. And the group that was after us...like refused to get off the bus. So we were always waiting for the idiots to get off the bus so we could get off. It was horrible. The houses were nice this year, though. We got to go in a great Albert Kahn home. It's next door to the Kresge mansion (it was actually the Siegel mansion). I was way more impressed with the Siegel home than the Kresge home. Albert Kahn...definitely the shit.

After the tour, we went to my dad's cousin's house. He purchased a home in Boston Edison a year ago. Oh my gosh. His house was incredible! I think it's 4800 square feet. BEAUTIFUL home. They're working on it...but even though it has awhile to go...the house is so impressive as is. Since I've been on four Boston Edison tours now... and they tour 5 a year...I've been in 20 Boston Edison homes...and my dad's cousin's was the brightest of all of the homes I have been in. It had an immense amount of natural light pouring into the house. The servant's quarters on the third floor did not feel creepy in the slightest bit...it was actually very very cool. Usually the third floor creeps me out a bit...but not in his house. They also lucked out because they're only the third owners in the house...the original owners sold it back in the 30s and the same woman lived in the house until my dad's cousin bought it last year. Therefore...it wasn't in total disrepair like a lot of homes in Boston Edison were/are.

We also stopped off at my Grandma's on the way to the tour. Dropped her off some groceries...and videos. I keep dropping her off video tapes. She's had a VCR at her house for years and more recently, she's decided to use it. We're almost out of movies to give her to watch, though. I did send over a Britney Spears/N Sync video (from McDonald's) and a Backstreet Boy's video. I think she'll enjoy those. I also loaned her Very Bad Things. Haha I'm sure she'll comment on that movie. The whore. The swearing. But I'm sure she'll love it.

Would you believe I'm almost done with the Jenna Jameson book? It reads so fast. She's lived a crazyass life...

Two days of work...tralalalalala!
