Monday, November 22nd, 2004[Entry 225]she wasted no time...
I am soooooo excited about the four day weekend ahead of me. It's gonna be greeeeeat! I feel like a kid all over again...waiting for a school vacation. And to think...I plan on taking off the entire week of Christmas! Yipppeee!
Work was entertaining today. Tomorrow should be entertaining, too. I think everyone is in great spirits because it's a short work week. We had a small informal meeting today to discuss the haps on a few countries. One of my bosses likes to call them "high level meetings." He's totally joking...but everytime we decide to meet he says, "Is it time for our high level meeting yet?" Which of course, is funny. While we discussed what we needed to discuss...he kept getting us off-topic. Talking about how he's going to buy a motorcycle and making generalizations about people who ride motorcycles and generalizations about people who own boats. He cracks us all up.
I had a return for Organized Living...and a couple of Best Buy coupons...so I went to both places this evening. I found nothing at Best Buy to spend my stupid Reward Zone dollars on. It's hard to browse the DVD aisles when a stupid woman with a loud kid in a cart hogs the whole aisle. And then all these dorky guys were totally in the way everytime I wanted to look closely at a row. Ridiculous. My mom was with me and she found a bunch of DVD players and Tivos on a table. They were open box items...and for some reason they were 50% off. Too bad all open box items weren't 50% off...they had a phat Vaio desktop with 19" LCD monitor for 1100 bucks.
So I walked out of Best Buy with nothing. I'm finding it extremely difficult to spend money now that I am really trying to save it so I can buy a place. I give myself a huge guilt trip. Which is probably a good thing, right? I mean, shit, I'm only watching two things on eBay and they're things I probably won't end up buying [because they are James Perse shirts and they always get jacked up too much before the auction ends, so I won't bid].
I tried to put together a Christmas list for my family. Which I hate doing because I love surprises...but I know I'm a bitch and a half to shop for, so I have to help them out when they request it, I guess. The stuff I want is so ridiculous. Example: "a black shrug-like thing, but sweater material and button-able (or ribbon closure)." Have I seen this anywhere? Of course, in my head. Physically, have I seen this article of clothing anywhere? No.
I just remembered...those jeans I had to exchange will be arriving tomorrow. Now that's something to look forward to!
I am drowning in e-mails. It's a wonder people don't hate me.
