Tuesday, September 28th, 2004[Entry 195]all i need is me a few seconds or more...
It was so damn cold here today. I think tomorrow is going to be much like it was today. Time to drag out the snow pants...bring me back a warm fall, damn it!
I needed to go to Target to pick up some Reese's Puffs as well as some yogurt (for those of you who eat yogurt, Target sells Yoplait for way cheap). I need to stay out of Target's clothing department. I keep finding fantastic stuff. I don't know what the deal is on their fall stuff, but they have some great cheap Mossimo clothing. Last time I went to Target, I got two sweaters for $12.99 a piece. Today I got a shirt for $9 and a cardigan (that strangely is too small, usually Target stuff is way too large on me).
I waited for my mom to get off work and then we went to Somerset because I needed new lip gunk. I bought Wallflower which smells/tastes like cake batter. Mmmm. I did not, however, buy it at Nordstrom because for the millionth time in my life, people working in cosmetics ignored me. So I marched over to Sephora and bought it there. I am so sick of the cosmetics department at Nordstrom ignoring me. It's complete bullshit. And it seems like I am the only person in the world with this problem. I give up; they no longer get any chances from me. Next time I need make-up, I'm parking at the middle entrance of the mall and going straight to Sephora.
As I was getting pizza for dinner, Rich called during Ed's pre-set in Boston tonight. Don't Be Shy and You've Got to Hide Your Love Away. I'm sort of "eh" about Don't Be Shy because I liked that it was a rarity...but something tells me it won't be a rarity during these upcoming shows. I'm also kinda sad to see they opened with Release tonight. I could've totally dug a Release. Oh, I don't know if I ever specified what shows I am going to...I'll be at Reading, Toledo, and Grand Rapids. I'm getting pretty excited...about driving through Ohio this weekend. And then driving through PA. Woooooo funtimes.
My dad and I picked up Patricia Cornwell's book Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper--Case Closed. I've already read a Jack the Ripper book or two...but I am totally engrossed in Patricia Cornwell's book. I can't stop reading it. I don't want to do anything else but read this book. Anyway, it is really interesting. I used to read Patricia Cornwell books...so I'm used to her style. I think it may read a bit easier than the other Jack the Ripper book I read. It was so long ago, I can't recall. There are some portions where I find her repeating herself or she goes off on tangents and it's like...ok, enough already, it's clear; you researched the shit out of this case. We bought the book cheap, so it's no biggie. If you're bored, want something to read, may be worth the shot.
