Sunday, September 19th, 2004[Entry 189]all you need is...
Another weekend...come and gone. I need a vacation. I think I only feel that way because the next couple of weeks are going to be really hectic. Work...Pearl Jam...Germany...
Didn't do much at all this weekend. Yep, I played The Sims 2. That game is 10 times worse than the first Sims...especially all the architectural flexability in this game. Can build up to four stories (and a basement!)...design your own roof...put windows and doors on angled walls. I'm way too excited about this, aren't I?
Yesterday I went to the Ferndale Art Fair with Lauren. We were pretty bummed out because it was really small. So we went to Pronto's afterwards and got dessert. I found a dress I really liked at House of Chants...only it was $119 and I would never spend that on a dress.
I'm watching Back to the Future II right now. It's more like background noise because I am writing this crap. And before I started writing this crap, I listed some junk on eBay. I really had a craving to watch the "alternate 1985" sequences...not even the coolest part of the movie...but I craved it. I need to watch Part III, too. But The Surreal Life is on tonight. Since SFU is done for the season...Surreal Life is the best damn show on television.
My grandma came over today. Sort of shocking. She hates leaving her house. She kept flicking me shit for not being tan. I don't know how many times I have to tell her that I do not tan, I burn. She kept saying, "Prove it to me." I kept saying, "No thanks, I don't really like skin cancer." "Prove it to me"??? Yeah, so I can walk around like a lobster for a week so I can prove to my Grandma I do not tan.
I spent a couple of hours outside this weekend reading. We had beautiful weather. A bit too cool at times. But still beautiful. I ordered a used copy of Jon Stewart's Naked Pictures of Famous People to read when I go to Germany. I think I'll try to find the America (The Book)...that Daily Show book that comes out tomorrow...cheap. Maybe Costco will get it in before I go to the D-E-U.
Today, the phone rang. I picked up.
"Jessy?"
Narrowed down in my mind who the other person could be. Only people who have known me since childhood call me Jessy. "Yeah?"
Was my neighbor. She's a real estate agent and she knows that within the next year, I'll be looking aggressively for my own place. She was hosting an open house at a condo in downtown Royal Oak and she thought "this would be the perfect place for Jessica." So I went with my mom to check it out. It was incredible. Incredibly priced, too...$219,000. It was smallish...but had two decent size bedrooms and had 1 1/2 baths. Single car garage. Association fees are only $115 a month, too. Too bad I could never afford a $220,000 condo. It was great. And it's newer construction (10 years old)...and beautiful...and a great location. Needless to say, I fell in love and now need to find a sugar daddy.
