voice inside, so drowned out...

I bet you never thought that Can't Hardly Wait is a great movie. Here are FIVE reasons why:

1. One of the main characters is played by Lauren Ambrose (Claire on Six Feet Under).

2. Freddy Rodriguez (Rico on Six Feet Under) is in the movie as well.

3. Oh, but it doesn't stop there: Eric Balfour (Gabe on Six Feet Under) is in it, too.

4. Jason Segel (Nick from Freaks and Geeks) is in the movie.

5. A bunch of other people have small parts in this movie including: Selma Blair, Jaime Pressly, and Sara Rue.

6. There's a Pearl Jam mention: two guys won't break up with their girlfriends because one of the chick's father got them all tickets to see Pearl Jam.

And, that, my friends, is why Can't Hardly Wait is a great movie. I was inspired to watch it because the first time I saw Six Feet Under, I recognized Claire as the girl in this movie. Yesterday, I caught the end of Big Trouble (which I saw when it came out on video, cause, duh, Jason Lee is in it) and realized Russell (Ben Foster) from Six Feet Under is in that movie (and he doesn't look nearly as greasy as he does playing Russell). Yay. So even though I have no SFU to watch tonight, I got, like, a reunion.

I pre-ordered The Sims 2. I anticipate doing nothing but playing that game next week. Though I know I'll probably do other things, I know I won't really WANT to. I am way too excited about this game being released. Oh, and two middle fingers to BestBuy.com for getting rid of free shipping. Shipping is still cheap, but I want free. I ended up pre-ordering The Sims 2 through Amazon simply because Best Buy doesn't have free shipping anymore. Screw that. I have no loyalty when it comes to shit like that, all those places suck.

Well. I got a recumbent bike today. I got it for a steal. Like I practically felt like I was stealing the bike. Thank you Sports Authority. Anyway, I had to post that picture to the left...of my bike...because that guy looks like he is having WAY too much fun on that thing. My mom and I moved the eliptical machine out of my room into the living room. We're going to have to carry it down into the basement later. Funtimes. My dad and I will assemble the bike later this evening after they get back from a BBQ at Aaron's parent's house. I'm anti-social, by the way. I did not go. I did make cupcakes, though. Isn't that nice? I made red, white, and blue Funfetti cupcakes.

I think I'm about to go do some e-mails and then go watch Goodbye Lenin. I watched Taking Lives last night. wasn't half bad. Don't understand why Ethan Hawke keeps playing creepy bad guys all the time now. But whatever. Maybe he really is a creepy bad guy in real life...?

I can't wait until I'm eligible for my CTO days. I am totally doing three day weekends all the time. Hell yes.

Ah, screw the e-mails and screw the movie (for now). I'm going outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and read the last chapter of a book that I have been reading for about three months now (it's a good book: One Man's Castle: Clarence Darrow in Defence of the American Dream by Phyllis Vine. It's a Detroit related book but also about race relations in Detroit and the USA in the 1920s). Ok. Time to go finish it.
