Wednesday, August 11th, 2004[Entry 166]all the photographs are peeling...
I can't believe it's Thursday already. Though, this week has sort of dragged on. It's been pretty stressful. I've been assembling stuff for the Germany trip. It's not complete, but I think everything should be done tomorrow. Which is good, considering it needs to be done tomorrow because they leave for Deu on Monday.
When I got to work today, I went straight to the lunchroom to go to the fridge and grab my water bottle I left in there. It's amazing---you can keep stuff unlabeled in our fridge at work, and no one will ever mess with it. About 40 people have access to the fridge, yet people won't eat your food if you leave it in there. I find it amazing because at a former job, where there were less than 8 employees, food or drinks that I would leave in the fridge there would constantly disappear. Anyway, I'm getting away from my point...
I grabbed my water and went to go walk towards my office...and I find Kim in front of this other girl's office...decorating it with streamers and balloons because today was her birthday. I was like...man, everyone at this place is so nice! Another girl brought in a plate of brownies for this girl's birthday. Mmmm. We went out at lunchtime to celebrate the birthday. We went to Applebee's. The least vegetarian friendly restaurant on the planet (the only truely veggie thing they have there is a stupid veggie pizza---that doesn't even have SAUCE on it). Anyway, it was nice to get away and eat outside the office. The last time I sat down out of the workplace for lunch was the first day I started work. Wait, I'm lying, we went to Coney Island the Friday before Kim went on vacation. I guess what I am saying is...it is not everyday we eat out.
On our ride back to work, we talked about how we don't really have any friends. By friends, we meant girl friends. We laughed at the fact that none of us have made any new friends since graduating from college because you don't get to meet new people. But in that same sense, you still feel close with work people, even if you don't hang out with them as you would other friends. I've been trying to go out with one friend for like, two months. It would be nice to meet new people, you know? However, we make plans and then it seems like something else is going on when we make those plans or somehow other people get included and they dictate when and where we'll be going. So I give up on that. It's frustrating, so I'm not even trying anymore. It would be nice to just have one chick friend to go do stuff with. But then again, most chicks are f'd up in the head and mime you or stab you in the back.
No plans for this weekend. I want to go to Express and buy clothes. But I shouldn't because I haven't a discount and they haven't a sale. I hate full price clothes worse than I hate Missy Elliott.
Haha...I found a Super Mario Bros ring tone. Haha how hilarious. Too bad I'd feel like a complete dork if my phone rang in public...
I wish there was a Six Feet Under theme song ring tone...yeah!I'm thinking about using LiveJournal...I'd embedd LiveJournal into this current page. I just don't know exactly how I feel about it...
The reason I consider it is because it would be a lot easier on me for writing my entries. Currently I use a "template" that I made, and I fill in the "blanks" (entry) all in html. It's become a chore to post in my journal. Because not only do I have to re-create the index everyday, I have to create the archive as well. I know I could use all that fancy stuff that other bloggers use (like moveable type) but that just looks too icky for my taste. Furthermore, if I used the LiveJournal format, I don't know if I would toggle the comments or not. I know it's my journal, but please e-mail me your input: you guys read this shit, I think you should have some input.---
I almost forgot: someone side-swiped my dad's car early this morning. Nice hit and run. His car now features a lovely dent across the driver's side. As well as nice "accent" white/cream paint. When he went to the police station to file a report this morning, they asked about people delivering papers early in the morning. Our newspaper delivery person happens to drive a pearl white Escalade. Hmmm...
