Monday, April 12th, 2004[Entry 84]don't hold back and always know...
all the answers will unfold...I really want to chop my hair off. There was a girl with a nice medium-length haircut at Stereolab on Friday. However, I can not find a picture of how her hair looked...so that one is out of the question. I was looking through the new issue of Lucky (the shopping magazine) and I stopped on this one page...totally loved this girl's haircut. So here is the breakdown...

The first one is the one from Lucky. I love the hair. The problem is...I don't know if I can handle chopping all my hair off again. It's been three years. When I did it...I said I'd never do it again. However...I have thought about doing it again. But I'm still kinda leary of going that short. Perhaps I could get it an inch or two longer...
The second one...in the picture it is way poofy...but toned down, would be great. However, my hair is not thick...so my hair would be that length, but looking like picture 3. The third picture...I like the cut, but the woman looks oldish to me, so I'm having a hard time with that one.
Picture four may be the ticket. Short enough to use some fun styling products again. But long enough to still have some options. I need "options" now because sometimes I am too lazy to flat iron or blow dry my hair...so I'll make it go curly. I think I need a cut that I can do all three options...and each option needs to look good. However, when my hair is short, it's a lot easier to style because it takes less time to dry. My hair takes FOREVER to dry. I've had stylists comment on how my hair sucks in water and doesn't want to let it go. It's ridiculous.
Ok enough about hair...
This morning, my parents were able to catch the last two cats that needed to be spayed/neutered at my grandma's house. One is the sister/brother of Naobi (or so I think it is). All black, and really ugly. Ew. The other is the one we call "Momma Cat" because she is the slut and has millions of kittens. She has had about four or five litters in the past couple of years. She's pregnant right now. Or, well, she's getting an abortion. It's kind of sad...but this world has way too many animals that need good homes. The whole goal of catching these cats was to stop them from reproducing...so the only way we could let the momma cat have her babies is if we kept her in cage and then nursed the kittens while she went to be spayed. Momma cat hates cages. It just wouldn't work out. But now all my grandma's ferrel cats are spayed or neutered...and that is a very good thing.
I'm not sure how many of you heard about the Detroit police officers that were shot and killed a few months back. Was a woman and a man...both young. (In case you weren't aware of the story, read it here). Anyway, this morning when my alarm went off, the morning show on the radio was talking about the male cop. He was only 21 and married. Or so I thought...he was indeed married, but he was in the process of getting a divorce. Awhile ago, he was on a call to some strip club (can't remember which one) and she was working...and they like dated and ended up getting married. They married in November. They had a reception in December. Right after the reception, she tells him she's a lesbian. I guess he was devestated. He filed for divorce in January. He was killed in February. The divorce was not finalized when he was killed. Now, here's the problem: his family is entitled to $350,000 in death benefits from the police department as a result of his death. Since this woman was still legally his wife at the time of his death, she is entitled to them. So now his family (ie father) has to take this ordeal to court to fight this lesbian skank for this $350,000. It's so horrible.
Oh...Easter. We didn't really do anything for Easter. My parents picked up my grandma and she came over. They painted the basement (sage green, very nice). Then we went to eat...LOL, at Leo's Coney Island. My grandma is in love with Leo's. She wouldn't stop oogling the menu. She's so funny. Then we dropped her off. I did some homework. My parents went to go eat at Mongolian BBQ for dinner. I decided to skip out and watched Kissing Jessica Stein instead. I really do like that movie. I bought it before Christmas at Hollywood previously viewed...but never watched my dvd (I caught the movie on HBO awhile ago, though). I think I like that movie a) because the main character's name is awesome b) I like the actress that plays Jessica Stein and c) it is a quirky feel-good movie. The night ended w/the family watching Cheaper By the Dozen. It wasn't too bad. Hilary Duff is in it and therfore, whenever she was on-screen (and especially when she talked), I wanted to break our tv.
At Leo's my brother and I go into a conversation about our favorite Dave Matthews Band songs. It's kind of funny to have a conversation as such with a family member. Usually we hate each other's favorite music...but for some strange reason, my brother decided he likes DMB a few months ago.
