Sunday, February 1st, 2004[Entry 34]so find a new lifestyle...
a reason to smile...Yay! It's finally here! NO! Not the stupid Super Bowl! IT's FEBRUARY! The coolest month of the year!!! Yield Day is a mere two days away! Man, it was such torture for me in 1998---my birthday fell on a Tuesday that year (as it does any year that Yield Day falls on a Tuesday) and I was crossing my fingers they would release Yield on the 24th instead of the 3rd...but no cigar! Oh well, February 3rd is a fun day, too!
I hate to admit it. Pink is one of those people I love to hate. But I will download a single of her's from time to time (wow, I now have three Pink songs on my hd). I was thinking about how much better of an influence her songs are than any other "popular" girl artist at this time. If I were responsible for an impressionable young mind, I would be much happier if that mind listened to Pink rather than empty-messaged Britney Spears or heartbroken Michelle Branch. The only thing I'm not keen on at all...man, that girl needs to hire a new stylist and listen to that stylist. Pink usually looks ok in her videos...but when she's out in public on her own living a "normal life" she looks like so horrible. I mean, if her goal is look like a butch, that's fine. But ew. Her clothes. Her hair. She'd look better with paint thrown on her. Ok that makes no sense. I just get frustrated at rich people who are given free shit all the time. And Pink takes the time to do her hair and put on make-up...if you're going to waste all that time doing that...either a) save the time and don't do it at all or b) make yourself look pretty, not like a girl that wants to be a boy.
Last night, I watched Swimming Pool with my parents. My dad had heard it was good. It wasn't awful. Really slow start. I guess I'd only recommend it if you wanted to see a movie where one of the main characters is topless almost throughout the entire movie.
Yesterday was Aaron's birthday. He and Gen are coming over today for a "Super Bowl Party." The party consists of Aaron and my dad. No one else in this family likes football. My dad got free tickets to see the Lions once at the Silverdome. I think I was in 5th grade. We went. My mother, sister, and I were horribly bored... so we left early. Right after we left, Mike Utley got hurt. Remember him? Yeah. We missed that whole deal. As you can tell, it really pisses me off.
