Wednesday, January 21st, 2004[Entry 26]like it's seen a ghost...
Last night was another one of those nights...I went to bed at 10:30. Tuesdays and Thursdays just suck away all my energy.
I had a relatively good day yesterday. German class would have been 100% alright if we weren't given a "short" quiz. We knew about this quiz...and it was based on review. I figured the quiz would consist of the concepts we had reviewed in class. The quiz went over three concepts...one of which we had talked about in class. Needless to say, it was the worst German test I have ever taken. Totally bombed it. It's not that I didn't know how to do it...I'm sure I do...but considering that stuff was stuff I learned back in high school...it's sort of way back in my memory. Oh well.
After German, headed over to Little Caesar's...but stopped in this convenience store that's on the first floor of the new-er dorms. It was so cute! And they had Lemonheads. Little Caesar's had no line. It was amazing. So that is what made my day good. Hah...how sad, huh?
Yesterday I got the "new" Rolling Stone...though I don't know how "new" it actually is...as there was an advertisement for the new season of The Chapelle Show in it...which starts today. I get my Rolling Stones in an untimely manner...obviously. Anyway, there's an article with Kid Rock in there. Love him, or hate him, it was a good article. He's a decent person.
I tuned in late to American Idol. The whole concept of the show...totally blows. But I knew they were just showing auditions...so you have to tune into that. Instead of being thoroughly entertained...the show added fuel to my headache and made me really pissed off. Yes, these people who can't sing have some issues...but it seems the producers of this show are complete assholes with no concerns for people's feelings. You KNOW everyone has to go through a screener before they see Paula, Randy, and Simon...there is just NO WAY that those three sit through every audition of everyone that shows up. It's just sadly obvious that they throw in horribly bad people and good people in to see the three judges. I'm sorry if this is old news to people...I've never watched this horrendous show. Anyway...these bad singers have some obvious issues because they really do think they have talent...but then they get their hopes up when they see they get to perform in front of Paula, Randy, and Simon. It's just pathetic and sad...
On top of that...who gives a shit about American Idols? Do any of you think that Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken are really wonderful performers? They're like 10 times more calculated and molded than your average cookie cutter pop star. I am not one to talk...but I would think that if you had some talent in the singing department...when there's a will, there's a way. You don't need some cheesy television show to boost your career. JUST STUPID! Credibility? Yeah, out the window.Even though my headache was mind splitting, I had to stay up for Real World...nothing was on...so I tuned into the E! True Hollywood Story on Pamela Anderson. I experienced more frustration in watching it because 1. she looks better with smaller boobs and 2. she looks really pretty when she has almost no make-up on. And I increasingly became more and more pissed at her thin eyebrows. She writes an article in Jane Magazine every month...and it's made me sort of respect her...because she actually has somewhat of a brain. Knowing this...she should be smart enough to look less plastic. And I don't care if that's why men like her...I think it's stupid.
And finally...Real World is going to TOTALLY suck this season if they keep throwing in stuff about their sailing job. Do you give a shit about their sailing job? I surely do not. I find it very boring. Last night's episode was entirely about their sailing job and I was really pissed I stayed up with a headache to watch the damn thing.
So that's where I'm at...LOL...
